Teddy Balcha has worked in finance but found he prefers being a driver. He likes being able to create his own schedule. Teddy is from Ethiopia and speaks fluent English as well as his native Amharic. He has been a professional driver for 5 ½ years. He has a wife and a 3 year-old daughter with a baby boy on the way at the time of this writing. His daughter?s birth and his graduation from college are two important events in his lifetime.
When asked about his driving performance, Teddy laughs slightly and says he ?drives like an old man? ? he?s extremely safe and cautious behind the wheel and is not at all aggressive. Punctuality is very important to him?he is usually 15-20 minutes early for pickups. When he picks up a client, he introduces himself and will be quiet if you want to be quiet or will happily converse if you have questions. He often drives people to Logan Airport, Fenway Park, Gilette Stadium, the Boston Seaport area and Bunker Hill. His favorite place in Boston is Boylston Street near the public garden in Boston Common. He can also recommend La Scala, a great Italian restaurant just outside of Boston in Randolph, MA.
Teddy drives a black 2015 Chevy Suburban that he washes and vacuums every day. Poland Spring water and tissues are available. His car has a backup camera and OnStar, Air conditioning and heat and a BOSE sound system.
