Mamadou Diallo is passionate about his work. A professional driver since 1996, he feels that being a driver is his true calling. ?God chose this job for me,? he replies when asked why he became a driver. Originally from West Africa, Mamadou speaks English and French both at the 100% level. He often drives clients to NYC area airports, the World Trade Center site, the Four Seasons restaurant and also to out-of-town destinations such as Philadelphia and Boston.
When a Mamadou picks up at client in his black Mercedes ?Benz S550, he opens the door for them and greets them with a professional demeanor. He will make sure his radio is turned off if the client wants quiet yet he will happily answer any questions they may have. Mamadou has water, gum and tissues available in his car and he has a strict policy of not talking on his phone while a client is in his car. He cleans the inside of his car daily and takes it to a car wash often. When making a pickup, especially at an airport, he makes sure to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
Mamadou knows New York City very well. His favorite place in New York City is Brooklyn, where he lives with his family. When he is not driving, Mamadou likes to spend time with his four children and he considers the birth of his first child to be one of the most important events in his life. He also enjoys reading and soccer.
