Over the 18 years Kumar Ghimire has worked as a professional driver he has developed a philosophy about being behind the wheel. ?I don?t believe in road rage,? he says, ?I?ve been taught by older drivers that getting upset doesn?t make you a better driver. I never drive recklessly. It?s important for me to be a good driver.?
Originally from Nepal, Kumar speaks English, Hindi and Urdu, all at the 100% level. Working in Washington D.C., he often drives passengers to sports arenas such as the Verizon Center as well as Andrews Air Force Base, the White House and Capitol Hill. Kumar is fond of the museums and monuments in D.C., and heartily recommends the Chinese restaurant Peking Gourmet, located just outside the city in Falls Church, VA. Aside from its delicious food, he likes the fact that many Washington dignitaries have eaten there.
Kumar likes meeting people and finds driving exciting. He has often driven passengers long distances and on overnight trips. He likes visiting new places. When he?s not driving, Kumar enjoys time with his 18 year-old son, going for walks and playing basketball.
Kumar drives a black 2015 Chevy Suburban LT with black leather seats, all-weather floor mats, a CD player and passenger-controlled climate control. He has top-brand water available (VOSS, Deer Park, Fiji) as well as mints, tissues and hand sanitizer. He vacuums his car every day and washes his car very often.
